A retiree from Richmond, Australia, who recently secured entry in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw, secured a hefty prize. The winner, whose name was not disclosed, won a total of AU$202,022 ($134,600) from the popular raffle-style game.
On Sunday, The Lott, the operator of Australia’s favorite and popular lottery games, uncovered details regarding the latest win. The retiree who recently won the sweet prize purchased his winning ticket from Springwood Newsagency on 190 Macquarie Street in Springwood.
The lucky player won AU$200,000 ($133,300) as a 1st prize winning entry from draw 1679 on Thursday 13 June 2024. He recently visited the lottery headquarters to claim his prize which increased by AU$2,022 ($1,350) thanks to a consolidation.
Currently, the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is close to AU$2.2 million ($1.5 million) for draw 10857. On the other hand, the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot top prize currently stands at more than AU$1.2 million ($800,000).
The aforementioned games are raffle-style lotteries. Each game offers a set number of winning tickets for each draw. This otherwise means that prizes cannot be shared as every ticket entry is unique.
According to The Lott, last year alone, there were 117 Lucky Lotteries 1st prize and jackpot winnings across the country. Overall, the lucky players secured a sum north of AU$20.6 million ($13.7 million).
